Children's theatre
Imagination is more important than knowledge.
Albert Einstein
In this age of instant information and touch screen tablets, that statement seems more relevant now than ever before. There is no doubt that creative engagements in the arts not only help develop well rounded, confident and creative people, but also boost a child’s performance in all areas, including academics. Yet these are the first to get sidelined if not cut from most school curriculums.
At the Guild we are passionate about mainstreaming theatre into education, as a tool and an agent for change that will help shape those that will inherit our world.

TRAINING FOR ACTORS
We take it for granted that a Sitar player must do riyaaz everyday if they want to be a professional, or even if they want to develop their passion for themselves. We'd feel the same about a Hindustani or Carnatic vocalist or a Lavani or Baul singer. Or of a Chhau or a Khathakali or Bharatnatayam dancer.

Why should it be any different for a contemporary actor?

We at the Guild believe that no one is 'born with it'. Anyone can be an performer. All it takes is rigour and a commitment to the idea of training.
We are trained actors, directors and teachers with over a decade of experience in the performing arts.

We take training seriously.
